Dunn's River:

Imagine standing at the edge of the Caribbean Sea, the warm, turquoise water lapping at your feet. Now, picture a magnificent, terraced waterfall cascading directly into that sea, its clear, cool waters inviting you to embark on an unforgettable adventure. This is Dunn's River Falls, a living, growing natural wonder that is one of Jamaica's most treasured and iconic attractions.

The falls themselves are a stunning spectacle, stretching over 600 feet and featuring a series of naturally formed, dome-shaped steps. These terraces are made of travertine rock, continuously renewed by the calcium carbonate flowing from the river, making the falls a truly unique geological phenomenon. Lush tropical foliage—ferns, bamboo, ginger lilies, and orchids—surrounds the falls, creating a vibrant, verdant canopy that adds to the enchanting atmosphere.

There are trained guides at the falls who will assist you up the falls, or if you are more daring you can take the climb without the guides. There are also places where you can change your clothing and rent shoes if you do not want to use your own sneakers for the climbing adventure. Please bring a towel and cameras should be waterproof if you are climbing the falls. Lockers are available for rental where you can store your belongings.

This deep, inviting color comes from the mineral-rich limestone, and the water is so clear you can see right to the bottom.
