Dunn’s River Falls and Beach Horseback

The main draw, and what truly sets Dunn's River Falls apart, is the opportunity to climb it. You can join a guided group, holding hands to form a human chain for safety and support, as you make your way up the slick, rocky surface. Your friendly guide will show you the best footholds and lead you through the refreshing, rushing water. Along the way, you'll encounter natural lagoons and pools, perfect for a brief, invigorating dip and a photo opportunity. This "wet climb" is a thrilling and exhilarating experience that can take anywhere from 35 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on your pace and the size of your group. For those who prefer to stay dry, a path runs alongside the falls, offering incredible views and the chance to still be part of the excitement.

There are trained guides at the falls that will assist you up the falls, or if you are more daring you can take the climb without the guides. There are also places where you can change your clothing and rent shoes if you do not want to use your own sneakers for climbing adventure. Please bring a towel and cameras should be waterproof if you are climbing the falls. Lockers are available for rental where you can store your belongings.

Horseback Riding:

The adventure typically begins with a guided horseback ride through Jamaica's countryside. You'll pass by lush forests, tranquil farmlands, and historic colonial-era estates. Guides often provide commentary on the region's rich history, culture, and local flora and fauna.

Swimming with the Horses: This is often highlighted as the most thrilling part of the tour. Guides will unsaddle the horses, and you will ride them bareback into the warm Caribbean Sea. The horses are well-trained to swim, providing a memorable and exhilarating experience. You can splash around in the water with your equine companion before heading back to shore.
