Your Beach Horseback Ride and Swim adventure begins when you are greeted by your driver/tour guide. You will then be transported to the Horseback Ride facility.
You will receive a safety briefing before setting out on your ride. Helmets are provided upon request. The ride will be a single file ride. Your ride will be slow along the trail as most riders are not experienced. There will be places along the way where the horses will be able to trot a little. Ride through wooded areas, where the Taino Indians used to hunt for food. Ride through a natural wetland shaded by almond trees, coconut trees, and other different species of trees.
Swimming with the Horses: This is often highlighted as the most thrilling part of the tour. Guides will unsaddle the horses, and you will ride them bareback into the warm Caribbean Sea. The horses are well-trained to swim, providing a memorable and exhilarating experience. You can splash around in the water with your equine companion before heading back to shore.
Important Restrictions:
Weight Limit: There is a strict maximum weight limit of 230 pounds per horse.
Age Limit: The minimum age to participate is 5 years old.
Health: The tour is not recommended for pregnant women or individuals with back, neck, or recent surgery issues.
Sandals are not recommended. Big bags like backpacks are not allowed on the ride. We suggest a fanny pack or small bag that can go across your shoulder in front of you (nothing bulky), in case you would like to carry your phone/camera. Children must be at least 6 years old. Not recommended for pregnant women. Not recommended for people with back problems.
River Tubing:
The River Tubing adventure last for 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the time you spend at the midway stop, and the flow of the River. This tour is guided, with two guides leading groups from 5-15 people. Generally one guide is provided for every 5 tubers. You will glide through lush tropical greenery and take in the amazing scenery as you gently wind down the lazy river. Mid way down the river there is a stop which gives you the chance to plunge in the river from the platform that is erected there for that purpose; this is for those adventurous people who want to add more fun to their ride.
